We are seeking a passionate and strategic Human Resources Manager to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will be a cultural ambassador, leading efforts to enhance our commitment to our ESOP employees and our values-based culture. The corporate location houses this position.
The Human Resources Manager requires a strong work ethic, integrity, confidentiality, and effective communication skills. Additionally, the HR Manager will engage with our team members to understand and improve employee relations while striving to make KI Industries, Inc., a continued Best Places to Work Champion.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least three years of related experience; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field highly desired.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, authentic, compassionate, organized and trust-worthy.
  • The desire and ability to participate in a team environment, focused on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with ESOP and/or the ability to understand, promote and convey the retirement plan and its benefits.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to employment.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting and building credibility with all levels of an organization.
  • Collaborative approach and comfortable leading without authority.
  • Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility is needed as we continue to grow in today’s market.
    SALARY: Based upon education and experience and per market standards.
    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 20%

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage and oversee full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of candidates.
  • Conduct orientation training while partnering with team members regarding standard company policies and procedures, with a focus on continuously improving.
  • Facilitate completion of routine HR functions such as preparation and maintenance of employee files; ensuring data integrity in HR systems; and developing and maintaining position descriptions.

Employee Relations:

  • Provide a visible HR presence acting as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring prompt and effective feedback and resolution.
  • Effectively and compassionately resolve personnel concerns by conducting investigations, documenting findings, and following up with involved parties.
  • Collaborate as requested with “Eyes on KI” Committee to navigate the culture and create community.

Performance Management:

  • Manage annual performance review process via HR Platform, ensuring evaluations are completed timely and effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to team leaders on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage disciplinary processes and work in collaboration with directors.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement of HR management systems.

Reporting & Metrics:

  • Maintain and analyze HR metrics and prepare reports on key HR activities, such as turnover rates and recruitment efforts.
  • Analyze workforce trends and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Training & Development:

  • Maintain and continuously improve training and personal development plans.
  • Partner with leadership to support communication and development of competencies that guide and inspire the employee.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with directors to provide employee development programs and other trainings per legal requirements.
  • Support succession planning and talent management initiatives.

HR Projects:

  • Participate in and lead special HR projects such as employee engagement surveys or wellness programs.
  • Support HR process improvements and system implementations.
  • Ability to work hand-in-hand with HR Mexico on various matters.
  • Other projects as requested.
