Lotus Group is collaborating with our respected client, who is looking for an HR Manager to join their Red Deer based team.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will oversee all human resources functions and branch operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence. They will foster a positive company culture that emphasizes value, quality, and safety. This role combines hands-on HR and operational responsibilities with strategic leadership and organizational planning.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CPHR designation is considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge in Alberta employment laws.
  • Experience in contract management, including reviewing and managing employee agreements.
  • Ability to assess organizational frameworks and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and streamlining HR policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Extensive experience in a highly regulated and client-focused industry
  • Demonstrates discretion, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Approachable, accessible, and committed to open communication.
  • Strong analytical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Assess organizational frameworks and streamline HR policy management for efficiency and compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with federal and provincial legislation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment standards and labor legislation to support HR strategy and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy legislation, FOIP, and information management standards.
  • Stay current with regulatory and accreditation requirements, ensuring continuous compliance.
  • Review and manage contracts, including employee agreements, ensuring alignment with employment standards and organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison for legal matters involving staff.
  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection.
  • Manage employee relations by addressing grievances, resolving conflicts, and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Oversee performance management by assisting managers with evaluations, delivering feedback, and supporting employee growth.
  • Coordinate training and professional development initiatives to support workforce capability.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records in compliance with privacy policies.
  • Ensure high-quality, timely delivery of company services.
  • Collaborate with Managers to monitor and evaluate stakeholder satisfaction with services.
  • Drive and implement quality improvement initiatives with Managers to enhance service delivery, customer satisfaction, and safety.
  • Partner with Managers to ensure staff adhere to protocols and industry best practice’s.
  • Collaborate with the Account Managers to implement updates to procedures and pricing structures.
  • Actively participate in Management Team meetings to align on organizational goals.
  • Participate on advisory committees with educational institutions and provincial representatives to provide industry guidance.
