Description

An important client based in Greenwich, CT is hiring a Human Resources Manager to join their boutique firm. This is an office-based role.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. SHRM or HCRI certification strongly preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in a Human Resources generalist role
  • Small firm or Family Office experience is a major plus
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA and FLSA
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and address sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Analytical and natural problem solver
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and pivot as needed
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and always eager to learn a new platform

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day HR operations and administration, including employee data management, payroll processing, and benefits administration
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding process. Develop strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Manage projects for the Senior HR team
  • Develop, review and implement HR Policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and company objectives
  • Travel to all domestic properties one to four times annually and to the Palm Beach Corporate Office and Palm Beach home as required. Conduct group and 1:1 meetings. Compile site visit reports to share with team
  • Handle inquiries referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate team member
  • Work alongside departmental and property managers to ensure best practices are employed in training and onboarding processes are established, conducted regularly, and consistently applied
  • Maintain detailed compensation files and manage employee benefits programs
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee morale, satisfaction and retention.
  • Address employee concerns, grievances and conflicts within a timely manner as well as provide support to managers to better manage problematic employee situations
