Maple Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager who is ready to lead their own department to support the organization’s continued growth and operational complexity. This role serves as a corporate people leader with direct responsibility for leadership guidance, compliance oversight, and execution of core HR programs across all restaurants and corporate teams. The Human Resources Manager partners closely with executive leadership, operations, culinary, and corporate leaders to ensure consistent application of employment practices, minimize legal risk, and strengthen leadership capability in a chef driven, high performance hospitality environment. Hospitality experience in chef led organizations is required. Learning and development experience is a plus. What You Will Do Key Responsibilities Leadership, Employee Relations, and Compliance Serve as a primary HR authority for employee relations, performance management, corrective action, leaves, and workplace conduct Direct compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states, escalating legal matters as appropriate Provide leadership guidance to managers at all levels to ensure consistent, policy aligned decision making Oversee investigations, fitness for duty matters, and sensitive employee issues with sound judgment and discretion Talent, Performance, and Development Support hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, promotions, and separations in alignment with company standards Guide leaders on goal setting, documentation, and Individual Development Plans Partner on leadership development initiatives and training programs that reinforce accountability and professional standards Support engagement survey follow up and action planning Compensation and People Operations Support salary reviews, bonus administration, offers, and promotions within established compensation frameworks Conduct market value reviews to maintain competitive positioning in the luxury hospitality sector Maintain accurate HR data and employee records in Paycom, including job changes, requisitions, and mobility actions Ensure accurate payroll inputs and adherence to service level and compliance requirements Organizational Partnership Partner with finance, legal, and operations to align people practices with business needs Identify workforce risks and compliance gaps and implement corrective actions proactively Support new market openings and integration of new teams Qualifications Who We Are Looking For Five to seven years of HR Generalist or HR Manager experience Proven experience in high volume hospitality or chef driven environments required Strong working knowledge of multi state employment law and compliance Experience with Paycom, Dayforce, Restaurant365, or similar systems Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field SHRM or PHR certification preferred Learning and development experience a plus Willingness to travel 10 to 25 percent Work Environment This role is based in the Chicago Corporate Office with regular on site presence in restaurants. The position requires comfort working in active dining rooms and kitchens and the ability to meet standard physical demands of restaurant environments.
