We are a pioneering impact startup on a mission to create products that clean decarbonize our planet using science and technology. We retrieve plastic waste from rivers and mangrove forests and transform it into high-quality products and materials for the production of eyewear using advanced plastic engineering and nanotechnology.
Our vision is to transform the fashion and outdoors industry into a system that regenerates the planet with every product.
We started D2C with our sustainable outdoor gear product line with Pangea and are now evolving B2B with a new vertical of materials science called Regenesis to expand out circular model on an industrial level, for other companies globally.
We launched our patented materials successfully in Milan in February 202 with great interest from the industry, and we are now gearing up to advance with the pilot program and start scaling the sales
Our vision is to accelerate the transition to a regenerative circular economy and create the most sustainable supply chain for the fashion and outdoor industries worldwide. By using our materials, any brand will become planet-positive and truly sustainable without greenwashing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–7 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Direct experience managing HR operations in Indonesia and Singapore
  • Prior work with startups or growth-stage companies, ideally with Western management structures
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) are a plus
  • Strong knowledge of labor law, employment standards, and corporate governance practices in both countries
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • Proficient with HRIS platforms, payroll tools, and Google Workspace
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Human Resources Manager, you will lead all aspects of HR operations for Pangea across Indonesia and Singapore, supporting both strategic growth and internal compliance. This is a pivotal role that blends day-to-day HR management with corporate governance responsibilities to ensure our people, processes, and legal frameworks are aligned with Pangea’s mission and regulatory obligations.
You will drive talent development, enhance employee experience, maintain labor law compliance, and uphold internal policies that reflect the values of a regenerative, inclusive, and globally-minded organization. This role is ideal for a resourceful and detail-oriented HR leader with cross-cultural experience and a deep understanding of local labor law, operational risk, and startup dynamics.

Reports to: CEO and Commissioner/Fractional COO

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:HUMAN RESOURCES (50%)

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business needs and organizational culture.
  • Manage job descriptions, end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and internship programs across departments.
  • Oversee performance management systems, employee engagement, and compensation and benefits administration.
  • Ensure full compliance with Indonesian and Singaporean labor laws, including documentation and regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, contracts, and employee data.
  • Monitor and enforce workplace health and safety compliance across operational sites.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on HR metrics, risks, and workforce planning.
