JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee all aspects of the company’s human resources function, including recruitment, onboarding, training, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, employee relations, discipline, offboarding and compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws. They will act as a liaison between management and employees, ensuring a productive and compliant work environment through consistent application of all company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Experienced in implementing policies and systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software (i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel).
  • Proficient with HRIS management systems and implementation of such systems.
Responsibilities
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Facilitate new hire orientations and execute all safety and regulatory compliance training
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity for all HR related matters and information.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Work closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Participate in evaluating and monitoring training programs to ensure training objectives are met.
