EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field.
  • Five years directly related progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), or Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and HRIS systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
  • Ability to execute and administer several activities and projects concurrently.
  • Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develops, updates, and implements the Policies and Procedures, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Provides interpretive advice on all Tonkawa Enterprise policies while monitoring and maintaining compliance with all federal and tribal regulations, department budgets, and company policies and procedures.
  • Manages the compilation and analysis of team member data and records. Conducts audits of data to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensures confidentiality of all team member records, investigations, and other information.
  • Provides Human Resources consultation for all departments regarding talent acquisition and employment, compensation and benefits, record-keeping systems, performance development and evaluation programs, and other related Human Resources functions.
  • Assists CEO in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a salary administration plan, which includes compensation and benefit packages; the classification of positions; pay policies; and performance appraisal programs.
  • Investigates team member complaints and administers the policies and procedures regarding team member grievances.
  • Improves staff effectiveness by coaching, counseling, training and recommending disciplinary action for team members; planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.
  • Contributes to departmental effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues and goals that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of actions; implementing directives.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting research; attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.
  • Achieves financial objectives by assisting in preparing the annual budget and proposal, inclusive of operational plans and objectives.
  • Coordinates the technology needs of the office; recommends the purchase of HRIS hardware and software.
  • Ensures that all vacant positions are posted to the website by acting as the iCIMS Administrator.
  • Conducts new hire onboarding sessions for new employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
