Description

Reese Enterprises, Inc. has been manufacturing weatherstrip, thresholds, and a multitude of door and floor products for over 100 years, has a newly created Accounting Manager role that it is looking to fill in Rosemount Minnesota. This position will be performed 100% on-site.

SUMMARY

Develops policies and directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, and payroll.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5-7 years professional experience in human resources / payroll
  • Experience in a union environment preferred
  • Experience in administration of HRIS, preferably ADP Workforce Now

SKILLS / ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use computer and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Develops, recommends, and implements company-wide personnel and safety policies and procedures.
  • Recruits applicants by creating and posting job ads, creates job descriptions, selects applicants for interviews, facilitates pre-employment and drug testing processes, verifies applicants’ employment history and references, drafts offer and rejection letters; facilitates orientation for new employees.
  • Gathers employee withholding and other payroll information; tracks employee attendance; prepares reports for management; processes payroll.
  • Enrolls and processes benefit change requests for medical, dental, short and long-term disability / life insurance; facilitates open enrollment for medical insurance; oversees 401(k) Plan; audits monthly insurance invoices.
  • Prepares Workers’ Compensation and disability claims, following up with doctors and insurers as necessary; administers employee leave of absence process.
  • Ensures that performance evaluations and pay increases are completed in a timely manner; counsels employees and managers on employee relations issues and problems.
  • Participates in union-management labor negotiations and grievance meetings, and other investigations.
  • Maintains personnel records; responds to lien, child support, and unemployment requests; participates in unemployment hearings.
  • Assists CFOO with managing insurance policies, including medical, dental, AD&D and Life, General & Casualty, Directors & Officers, and others; sends out requests for comparative insurance quotes on periodic basis.
  • Gathers wage, sales, and personnel information for Workers’ Compensation and Union pension audits.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
