Description Human Resources Manager (Sole Practitioner) We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to serve as the organization’s sole HR resource. This role is responsible for payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations for a workforce of approximately 100–110 employees. The position emphasizes accuracy, compliance, consistency, and practical resolution of employee-related issues. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters Administer employee benefits programs within a self-insured health plan Process payroll in Paylocity for bi-weekly hourly and monthly salaried employees, including payroll general ledger entries Coordinate with benefits brokers and third-party vendors Reconcile and maintain data between Selerix Systems and Paylocity Respond to, mitigate, and help resolve employee questions and issues related to payroll, benefits, policies, and workplace concerns Partner with leadership on employee relations matters, performance issues, and policy interpretation Support compliance with applicable federal and state laws, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, wage and hour, and payroll regulations Maintain HR records, documentation, and reporting Required Skills and Experience Broad HR experience supporting payroll, benefits, and employee relations Hands-on payroll processing experience using Paylocity Experience administering employee benefits programs (self-insured preferred) Ability to post payroll general ledger entries and reconcile HR/payroll data Experience handling employee issues with discretion and sound judgment Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Education & Certifications (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience HR certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or CPP Nice to Have Experience serving as a standalone or sole HR practitioner Experience with ACA reporting, ERISA documentation, or COBRA administration Multi-state payroll experience Experience partnering directly with executive leadership Compensation Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience
