Due to internal progression, we are seeking a motivated and confident Group HR Manager to oversee the HR operations across the Flatrock Group. The Group includes The Cliff Hotel & Spa, The Gwbert Hotel, Gwbert Holidays, The Black Lion Hotel, The Grosvenor, The Angel Hotel in Cardigan, and The Harbourmaster Hotel in Aberaeron, employing around 250 staff in total.
This is a pivotal role where the successful candidate will take full ownership of the HR function, managing all day-to-day HR matters while also contributing strategically to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and workforce planning. Working closely with senior management, department heads and employees at all levels, the HR Manager will play a central part in maintaining a positive workplace culture, supporting managers in employee relations and performance management, and ensuring that the Group remains compliant with employment law and best practice.
The role will cover a wide range of responsibilities, from employee engagement, recruitment and retention, and training and development, through to record-keeping, performance management, and providing HR advice and guidance across the Group. It offers the opportunity to work in a hands-on capacity, supporting the business on the ground and ensuring that teams are fully equipped to deliver the highest standards of service. Administrative support will be available to assist in the smooth running of the HR function.
We are looking for an HR professional with strong generalist experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a practical, solution-focused approach. A CIPD qualification would be advantageous, as would an up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law. Most importantly, you should be confident in building relationships, supporting managers, and driving positive change across a multi-site business.
This is a full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend working required depending on business needs. While the role is based at The Cliff Hotel & Spa, regular travel to other sites within the Group will be necessary. A competitive salary from £35,000 is offered, dependent on qualifications and experience, and in-house accommodation may be available for candidates relocating to the area.
If you are looking for a role where you can make a real impact and enjoy working closely with both managers and employees, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your CV along with a covering letter outlining your suitability for the position.
