Strategic HR Implementation:
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support the organization’s growth and long-term success.
- Align HR initiatives with business objectives to enhance productivity, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead workforce planning efforts to anticipate future talent needs.
- Establish HR policies and programs that improve efficiency, diversity, and inclusion.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to refine strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and development.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Design and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring.
- Partner with department heads to assess hiring needs and create job descriptions.
- Utilize multiple sourcing methods, including job boards, networking, and employer branding.
Performance Management:
- Develop and maintain performance management frameworks to drive employee growth.
- Oversee regular evaluations and provide feedback to managers and leadership regarding performance management.
- Implement training and development programs that enhance skill-building and leadership.
- Address performance-related concerns and support managers in creating development plans.
Onboarding & Employee Integration:
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Conduct/oversee orientation sessions that introduce employees to company culture, policies, and values.
- Monitor new hire retention and engagement to improve onboarding effectiveness.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR strategy, talent management, and policy implementation.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws in both Newfoundland Labrador and Nova Scotia, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and workforce analytics.
