The manager will lead initiatives related to employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and affirmative action policies. Use Social Media, attend job fairs and establish relationships in community to create a candidate pipeline. * Payroll Administration: Oversee the accurate, timely execution of bi-weekly payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and DOL regulations. Manage timecard approvals, payroll deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and tax withholdings. * Compliance Management: Maintain digital employee records to satisfy strict state, federal, DOL, OSHA, and Department of Health (DOH) healthcare compliance standards. * Onboarding: Conduct comprehensive new hire orientations and support required education and training requirements and initiatives. Host in-service sessions as needed and document attendance. * Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries regarding leaves of absence (FMLA/LOA), compensation, and workplace grievances and ensure the appropriate documentation is secured and maintained. * Risk & Safety Management: Oversee Workers' Compensation claims, manage OSHA reporting, and mitigate operational risks through proactive employee management policies. * Benefits & Compensation: Administer facility employee benefit plans, open enrollment periods, and compensation structures aligned with company policy and practices. * Performance Management: Guide supervisors through annual performance evaluation cycles and progressive discipline processes. Must be knowledgeable about company policies and procedures. * Culture & Retention: Implement retention strategies, introduce perks, resolve grievances swiftly, and organize team-building events to boost morale. * Data & Analytics: Leverage HRIS people analytics to monitor turnover trends, audit staffing ratios, and implement data-driven retention solutions. Required Qualifications:      Education & Experience * Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or healthcare-related field is preferred. * Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive Human Resources management experience. * Industry: At least 2 years of HR experience within a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or assisted living environment. * Payroll: Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processing and electronic timekeeping systems. CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES * HR Credential: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Healthcare Compliance: Deep knowledge of Department of Health (DOH), CMS, OSHA, and EEOC regulations. * Reporting: Experience with OSHA and Workers Compensation reporting requirements. * Software: Proficiency with healthcare HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems - ADP, and Smartlinx preferred. * Labor Law: Strong understanding of state and federal labor laws, FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation. * Recruitment: Expert knowledge of full-lifecycle clinical recruitment strategies for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. * Additional Duties: As assigned to support Vierra facilities.
