EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from an accredited high school or hold GED.
Three (3) years of full-time, wage-earning experience in general clerical/secretarial duties or human resources is required.
This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill to handle multiple tasks and prioritize assignments.
Skill in the use of computers and peripheral equipment.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and facilitate the Substitute hiring and orientation process as well as annual LRA requirement.
  2. Assist with phone coverage when the HR Administrative Assistant is not available.
  3. Coordinates all volunteer applications under the direction of the Employee Relations Supervisor. Works closely with the Library Services team to ensure timely responses and completion of requests.
  4. Assists with the Selections process as designated by the Department Administrator.
  5. Facilitate and complete all special projects as designated by the Department Administrator. Including but not limited to: I9 audits, employee file set up and audit, evaluation tracking, etc.
  6. Assists with CEA audit requests and response to findings.
  7. Audits human resources files to ensure that all auditable information is correct
  8. Responsible for the completion of all department filing and scanning.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
