Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and manage job postings across multiple platforms, screen resumes, conduct interviews, verify references, and provide hiring recommendations to the HR Generalist.

  • Attend career fairs and community outreach events to promote job opportunities and company growth.

  • Enter new hires/rehires into Dayforce accurately, coordinate start dates with managers, and conduct comprehensive orientations including store tours, policy reviews, and Dayforce training setup.

  • Assign work essentials (lockers, uniforms, cashier numbers), facilitate benefits enrollment, and ensure completion of mandatory training (MOL Health & Safety, WHMIS, AODA) before department placement.

  • Prepare training resources, purchase approved training programs, maintain accurate training records, set up online training courses, and verify completion outcomes.

  • Maintain office and staff resources including afternoon snacks, laptop/computer inventory, fleet vehicles, Sharp printer supplies, and basic office orders.

  • Update lunch room bulletin board with health/wellness info, promote staff gym registration, RWAM benefits, and Employee Assistance programs.

  • Prepare employment letters and job offers for HR Generalist approval, maintain organized employee files, manage front-end application forms, and maintain the Talent Pipeline system.

  • Archive job postings for 3-year retention, track staff training records in Dayforce, manage uniform inventory, and ensure locker room cleanliness.

  • Support store-led events, encourage staff participation, collaborate on HR special projects, and maintain discretion and confidentiality in all HR matters.
    Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-Time (40 hours/week)
    Wage: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour (depending on experience)
