Description:
We are seeking an efficient and detail focused HR Officer to join our collaborative and vibrant HR Services team, on a permanent, full-time basis. The primary focus of the position is to provide transactional and Officer support services to the Perenti Group of Companies and the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Officer works as part of a high performing team to develop and enhance the reputation and credibility of the Human Resources function through the delivery of high-quality customer service and provision of accurate and timely advice, to internal customers across the business.
This role provides an opportunity to be part of a great team and a stepping point to other HR Officer and Advisor roles across the wider Perenti Group of Companies through internal opportunities advertised from time to time.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
HR Advice: Provide timely and accurate advice to internal stakeholders which include management, supervisors and employees.
Customer Service: Respond appropriately within services level agreement timeframes to customer inquiries (internal and external) with a high degree of accuracy and within quality guidelines.
The HR Services Team are a friendly and dedicated unit and members are encouraged to actively help and support each other in achievement of all team goals.
Responsibilities:
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Provide transactional HR Services for the entire employee lifecycle processes across Perenti Group including review of data and approvals, creation of contracts and letters and processing (where required) into Success Factors
- Provide accurate and timely advice to all employees regarding Company process by responding to queries as required, through Success Factors, face-to-face or via the HR Services hot line, escalating more complex matters to the HR Team Lead and or HR Business Partners where required.
- Participate and assist with employee onboarding and exit processes as required.
- Preparation/generation of employee change of conditions documentation through Success Factors, including but not limited to change of work schedule; promotion; demotion; salary review; secondment; employee transfer; change of employment type; probation completion; maximum term extension, and extended leave of absence documentation
- Ensure accuracy of the information being entered into and the ongoing maintenance of Success Factors and contribute to the improvement of the system through feedback to the HR Systems team.
- Provide accurate and timely information to Payroll through Success Factors for new hires, the maintenance of employees, change of conditions, extended leave and terminations.
- Maintain a high attention to detail and accuracy in the creation of new, budgeted and unbudgeted positions via the bulk upload process into Success Factors
- Participate and assist with additional Human Resource activities as required such as, but not limited to; Employee Benefits administration, ad-hoc reporting queries, HR Exit Interview Analytics and process improvements on HR Services best practice.
- Assistance with the international global mobility team by ensuring employee documentation and employee data within Success Factors is reflected correctly.
- Assist employees and leaders with any leave and pay rate/salary queries.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR YOU TO THRIVE IN THIS ROLE, WILL INCLUDE:
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in a HR shared services environment is essential
- Good working knowledge of employment legislation and industrial relations
- Basic understanding of the organisation, the projects and the skillsets of the workforce across the Perenti group of companies
- Basic understanding of Fair Work Act including National Employment Standards and exposure to award/agreements
- SAP, SuccessFactors usage or similar, is highly desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to employees at all levels
- Strong customer focus
- High attention to detail.
