Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys being hands-on and making a genuine impact?Do you enjoy improving processes, supporting managers and seeing the impact of your work across a business?

Seymour John are working exclusively with a well-established business in Tamworth who are looking to recruit an experienced HR Officer to join their team.

This is a broad and genuinely hands on HR role where you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact. Alongside supporting managers and employees with the day-to-day HR needs of the business, you will be encouraged to take a proactive approach, identify areas for improvement and help introduce new processes and ways of working.

The Opportunity

Working closely with managers across the business, you will take ownership of a varied HR workload.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing practical day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Taking ownership of employee relations matters including absence, disciplinary, grievance and capability cases
  • Coaching and supporting managers through people related issues
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and inductions across the business
  • Managing HR administration and documentation throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Keeping employee records, policies and procedures accurate and up to date
  • Reviewing existing HR processes and identifying opportunities to make them more effective
  • Helping to introduce new processes and improvements across the HR function
  • Supporting wider initiatives around employee engagement, culture and retention

  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Hands-on experience managing a variety of employee relations cases
  • Confidence advising, supporting and coaching managers
