Job Overview The Human Resources Operations Specialist is a key member of Brook Health’s Human Resources (HR) function, ensuring that day-to-day HR operations are people-first, accurate, and compliant. This role manages HRIS administration (Paylocity), benefits, onboarding and offboarding, compliance tracking (including nursing/clinical compliance), leave administration, and recruitment support. The Specialist partners with employees, managers, and leadership to build HR processes that support both healthcare professionals and technology teams in a mission-driven, care-centered environment. Periodic travel may be required. Requirements Key Responsibilities HRIS Administration: Manage Paylocity system; ensure data accuracy, reporting, and process improvements. Benefits: Administer benefits programs; support open enrollment, respond to employee inquiries, and ensure compliance. Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate new hire onboarding, ensuring employees are welcomed and compliant; manage offboarding processes. Compliance: Maintain HR and clinical compliance records, including licensing, training, and regulatory requirements. Leave Administration: Administer employee leave programs (FMLA, parental, disability, etc.); ensure compliance and proper payroll coordination. Recruitment Support: Assist with job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate experience. General HR Support: Provide policy guidance, reporting, and HR project support. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of HR operations or generalist experience. Direct experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity strongly preferred). Hands-on experience with benefits administration, compliance tracking, onboarding, and leave management. Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations, including healthcare-related compliance. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in both healthcare and technology organizations or in a scaling environment. Exposure to clinical compliance (nursing or healthcare credentialing). Experience supporting multi-state or hybrid/remote workforces. Prior involvement in recruitment coordination or talent acquisition support. Brook provides a Medical Concierge to full-time employees enrolled in our health insurance to help deal with the headaches that sometimes come along with managing your health care. Mental Healthcare As a supplement to the Medical insurance mental health coverage, Brook provides employees access to three free therapy sessions through Spring Health. Brook has a Flexible PTO (Paid Time Off) plan. No accruals, no number of weeks limit. It is what you and your manager determine to be reasonable. Financial wellness Brook pays for all full-time employees to have Short & Long-Term insurance. If an employee utilizes the Short-Term Insurance, Brook supplements what is covered by the State & the Short-Term insurance so that employees are paid 100% of their salary for the duration of their Short-Term Leave up to 13 weeks. Brook pays for all full-time employees to have life insurance of 1x their salaries up to $250,000. Brook automatically enrolls all part and full time employees in a 401K plan with a match of 50% of your first 2% contributed. We also offer an Emergency Savings Account (ESA). This allows you to save when saving is hard to do with a little help from Brook. If full-time employees make a $1.00 initial contribution, Brook makes a $25.00 contribution. If there is an ongoing contribution made of $10.00 or more, Brook makes a $5.00 per paycheck contribution. The best part is that there is no limit, and no qualified expense list, what you determine to be an emergency is an emergency. We also offer an Employee Referral Bonus.
