OVERVIEW

Synaptics is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team, delivering high-quality programs and support to employees worldwide. In this role, you will maintain employee documentation, support new hires, coordinate and enhance HR programs, and uphold process integrity. As the first point of contact, you will make a critical first impression and consistently deliver an excellent, positive employee experience. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Global Total Rewards.
The typical base pay range for this position is USD $71,000 - $112,200 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Qualifications (Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in HR
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • General knowledge of HR concepts and process and their interdependencies
  • Tech savvy with good data entry skills
  • Basic understanding of current federal, state and local HR-related laws, regulations, trends

Responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Execute the programs and processes across the employee lifecycle to support an effective, scalable global HR organization
  • Serve as the new hire onboarding program champion and system administrator: Coordinate new hire documentation, participate in delivering new hire orientation, and continue to suggest ways to further enrich the new hire experience
  • Act as the first point-of-contact for employee inquiries and provide superior customer service
  • Maintain confidential employee files ensuring accuracy and compliance, document workflow and procedures
  • Generate reports to support the HR team and key stakeholders
  • Maintain and ensure compliance for all required controls and audits; assist with process improvements to address issues identified
  • Ensure data integrity by accurate and compliant employee record maintenance across HR systems capturing all status changes and performing regular audits
  • Assist in the creation and submission of data for government reporting as needed
  • Assist with immigration and visa matters within region aligning with global mobility lead
  • Partner with COEs and HRBPs to coordinate and support multiple employee programs and events
  • Various administrative tasks to support the team: purchase order management, vendor billing reconciliation and tracking, and training administration
