Human Resources Operations Specialist TerraPower is seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Operations Specialist to support our growing and dynamic team. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role plays a critical role in delivering seamless and engaging employee onboarding experience. This position ensures that new hires feel welcomed, informed, and supported from offer acceptance through their first weeks on the job. The specialist manages onboarding processes, coordinates with cross-functional teams, ensures compliance with employment regulations, and contributes to continuous improvement of HR operational efficiency. Responsibilities: • Provide extensive onboarding program support, including collection of data, maintaining checklists, workflows, and gatekeeping as needed to ensure program compliance. • Coordinate orientation schedules, new hire training sessions, and introductions to company systems, policies, and culture. • Creation and editing of Onboarding procedures user guides, toolkits, forms, and training materials. Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement. • Continuously evaluate and enhance the onboarding experience using feedback and data-driven insights. • Complete and document I-9s for new hires while maintaining compliance with I-9 regulations and E-Verify requirements. • Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires and hiring managers regarding onboarding logistics. • Collaborate with internal partners including IT, payroll, facilities, finance, administration teams and more. • Maintain employee records in HRIS with accuracy and confidentiality. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies during onboarding and data management processes. • Provide operations coordination and excellent attention to detail for HR specific initiatives and HR Programs. • Support audits and reporting requirements by maintaining accurate documentation and records. • Assist with process documentation and standard operating procedures for HR operations. Key Qualifications and Skills: • B.S. degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience. • 2+ years of experience in HR roles within a corporate environment; onboarding or HR operations experience preferred. • Hands-on experience maintaining employee data in an HRIS (ADP preferred) with a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. • Ability to run HRIS reports, audit employee data, and resolve discrepancies in partnership with HR, payroll, and IT. • Experience processing hires, job changes, and organizational updates within an HR system. • Strong attention to detail with proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and provide a high level of customer support. • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing policies, processes, and priorities. • High degree of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to teamwork. Job details: Salary Range Level 7: $36.83- $55.24/hour. * We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth.
