Description Westwood Country Club in Vienna, VA is in search of an HR/Payroll Specialist. Westwood Country Club was established in 1954 and is a private member owned club. Westwood is located near the Tysons Corner business & fashion district and it is 15 miles west of downtown Washington, D.C. Westwood is a full service country club offering its members and their guests golf, tennis, court tennis, swimming, fitness, casual and private dining as well as special event space. The HR/Payroll Specialist helps set the tone of the Club’s culture which is a positive, productive and compliant workplace. You will interact with Department Heads, Managers, Supervisors and staff on a daily basis. You will lead recruiting, employee relations, compliance, safety and benefits administration for a team of up to 300 employees during peak season. Primary Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly payroll for all departments Manage the on-boarding process from start to finish Works closely with department managers to facilitate hiring staff Maintain all employee records Ensure compliance and employment best practices are in place Manage all employee relations and recognition programs Coordinate/facilitate all training programs Administer/facilitate all benefits programs (medical, dental, supplemental insurance, COBRA, 401k, etc.) Manage grievances, investigations and advise on proper documentation and execution of any employee performance or disciplinary issues Report/coordinate/track work comp claims Complete quarterly/annual tax and compliance reports or worksheets Salary will commensurate with experience Requirements Must have at least 3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in the hospitality industry (specifically country clubs) Must have strong interpersonal, customer service and supervisory skills Must be well organized, detail oriented and work well under pressure Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, payroll/HR systems and benefits admin systems Associate/Bachelor Degree and SHRM, HRCI or other HR certifications are preferred
