Miller Sellner is seeking a full-time Human Resources/Safety Director to join our team in Sleepy Eye, MN. This position is responsible for all HR and safety functions across the organization. If you are a confident, organized professional who enjoys independence and variety, this role may be a great fit.
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year (DOQ) While a salary range has been established for this role, the final compensation package will be tailored to the individual’s level of experience and expertise.
This is a full-time, onsite position in Sleepy Eye and not open for remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers on HR and safety-related matters
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations
  • Manage employee benefits: health, HRA, dental, vision, life, HSA, AFLAC, PTO, and 401(k)/Roth/Safe Harbor contributions
  • Responsible for any reporting and ensuring compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations such as FMLA, COBRA, ACA, EEOC, CMS, BLS/DOL, WOTC, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.
  • Administrator for MN Paid Leave
  • Maintain workplace policies, job descriptions, and training documentation
  • Gather and track hours, benefits, and deductions; coordinate payroll with external accounting firm
  • Maintain compliance with safety programs, policies, training, and documentation, including OSHA logs and Workers Compensation
  • Oversee high school OJT and internship programs
  • Use and maintain our HRIS system for personnel records, training, and automation
  • Manage PTO/ESST tracking and reporting
  • Create and distribute a bi-weekly internal newsletter for employees
  • Ensure accurate HR documentation, reporting, and audit readiness
  • Support a positive, safe, and people-centered workplace culture
