Available Job Opportunity: Human Resources, Senior Specialist

The Opportunity

The Senior Specialist, Human Resources supports key talent and employee experience initiatives across the organization. This position offers an opportunity to help shape the employee experience while gaining exposure to a broad range of talent and organizational development initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this newly created, full-time position supports the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that enhance the employee value proposition, attract and retain talent, and support organizational growth. Working across the employee lifecycle, the Senior Specialist contributes to initiatives focused on recruitment, onboarding, development, engagement, and retention, while partnering with leaders and employees to deliver effective HR programs and projects.

The position is based at our head office in Vaughan, Ontario. We offer a hybrid work arrangement that provides flexibility to work from home, with an expectation of being in the office two days per week, Monday through Friday. Travel requirements are local and expected to be occasional, as business needs require.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment activities and support hiring managers in attracting and selecting qualified candidates and effective employee onboarding.
  • Support learning and development initiatives, including training coordination, employee and leadership development activities.
  • Assist with employee engagement and employee experience programs that promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Compile and analyze talent-related data and prepare reports to support HR decision-making.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives focused on talent attraction, development, engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop HR resources, communications, and program materials to support employees and leaders.
  • Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of HR programs, processes, and systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
