Job Summary: The HR Services Specialist serves as a central resource for employees and the Human Resources team, delivering exceptional service and support across all business locations. This role is responsible for facilitating HR processes, managing employee records, coordinating onboarding, and administering key HR systems and programs. As the first line of support for HR-related inquiries, the HR Services Specialist ensures timely, accurate, and caring responses while promoting Bell Bank’s values and service standards. The position also plays a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency, compliance, leave administration, and employee engagement through thoughtful coordination and communication.   Responsibilities Employee Support * Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing responsive, caring, and high-quality service. * Resolve Level 1 and 2 HR-related questions via phone, email, and in-person interactions; escalate complex issues as needed. * Educate employees on Bell’s policies, benefits, and programs (e.g., Bell Outfitters, Well@Bell, compliance training). * Conduct new hire orientations covering HRIS, BellShare, ADP, and benefits. * Support annual benefit enrollment, performance review cycles, and other recurrent HR events. * Collect and share employee feedback on HR programs with leadership.   HR Operations & Administration * Manage employee records (paper and electronic) in accordance with departmental standards. * Process employee changes, employment verifications, and verification of deposits. * Coordinate NMLS transfers, additions, renewals, and related audits. * Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with Bell Bank policies and applicable laws. * Support specialized HR teams with administrative tasks and program execution.   Systems & Program Management * Administer the Learning Management System: manage access, build training programs, create courses, train users, and generate compliance reports. * Facilitate workflows and ensure timely, accurate data processing across HR systems. * Partner with HR colleagues to create and maintain process documentation for efficiency. * Support HRIS and other internal applications, providing guidance and troubleshooting. * Complete audits of employee data and HR systems as needed to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.   Leave Administration * Assist employees with basic questions related to medical leave, including eligibility, documentation requirements, and general process steps. * Support the tracking and processing of leave requests in coordination with HR team members. * Ensure accurate and timely updates to employee records related to leave status, as needed. * Maintain confidentiality and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA). * Collaborate with HR colleagues to improve leave-related documentation and workflows for clarity and consistency.   Bell Bank Culture, Policy and Accountability Standards: * Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible. * Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards. * Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line. * Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. * All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information. * Prompt and reliable attendance. * Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, and Other Expectations * Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required. * 2-4 years of experience in human resources, preferably in banking/financial industry. * Professional certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred. * Experience with employee benefits education and enrollment processes preferred. * Familiarity with HRIS platforms and systems (e.g., ADP) strongly preferred.
