Description I. Function Summary: The Human Resource Specialist directs, manages and oversees the Human Resource policies, programs and services for the entire organization including the Lewistown and Souderton Manufacturing facilities. II. Primary Job Functions: Recruitment of talent and organizational staffing Procure and oversee seasonal temporary employees through contracting with temporary staffing services Organizational development of employees Ensuring compliance to state and federal employment regulations Policy development as well as documentation – Employee handbook Compensation as well as benefits administration Along with the Director of Operations, help lead and facilitate employee safety and welfare programs Manage and oversee workers compensation, insurance and unemployment benefits. Develop and manage rewards and recognition programs Employee relations Employee communications relating to Human resource functions Oversee and manage the employee services (Employee Assistance Program) Assist with the management of our payroll system (Paylocity) Assist Finance Department with the coding and approving of all benefits for accounts payable Administer FMLA/LOA requests and engage in the interactive ADA process as necessary in conjunction with our third-party administrator (Absence Resources) Administer COBRA paperwork when necessary. Any other HR scope issue where needed. Requirements III. Authority: Make decisions concerning employee relations, welfare and policies. To interreact, advise and consult with senior leadership on all Human Resource concerns or issues. IV. Performance and Accountability: Reports to Human Resources Manager V. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Internship in HR related field Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PP, etc.)
