Description

Cornerstone of Hope is assisting in the recruitment process for LivWell’s Human Resources Specialist. While Cornerstone will conduct the initial screening and coordination, the final hire will be made by and work on-site with LivWell Community Health Services.
POSITION: Human Resources Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Administration
REPORTS TO: Chief Operations Officer
STATUS: Fulltime, Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Human Resources (HR) Specialist provides support and expertise across various human resources functions, often specializing in specific areas like recruitment, benefits, and employer relations. The HR Specialist handles daily HR tasks, support HR initiatives, and ensures compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

2. OVERSEE RECRUITMENT AND ONBOARDING:

· Support managers in developing job descriptions, posting vacancies, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
· Complete all pre-employment requirements, including background checks and reference verifications.
· Develop and facilitate the employee onboarding and orientation process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal, mediation, negiotiation, and conflict resolution skills
· Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
· High regard for integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and HRIS related systems
· Knowledge of strategic planning, succession planning, and workforce planning

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
· A minimum of three years of Human Resource Management experience
· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR highly desired
