JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive workplace environment. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for supporting talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and payroll processing, while contributing to the organization’s overall strategic planning.

OVERVIEW:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented HR Specialist to support payroll, recruitment, benefits, and overall HR operations. This role ensures compliance with local and federal laws, maintains accurate records, and helps foster a positive workplace aligned with our company values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in HR, payroll, or a related role is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Guam and federal employment laws
  • Proficient with HR/payroll systems (Kronos/AS400 experience is preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, including timekeeping, leave tracking, and incentives.
  • Maintain employee records, files, and HR systems (including Kronos).
  • Support recruitment: post jobs, screen applicants, schedule interviews, onboard new hires, and conduct orientations.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including answering employee questions and supporting program rollouts.
  • Ensure compliance with Guam and federal employment laws.
  • Support employee offboarding, uniform ordering, and other HR administrative tasks.
  • Partner with other departments to uphold company policies and procedures.
