Job Description We're looking for a professional and organised Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Amsterdam, Netherlands on a part-time basis (3 days/week). In this role, you will serve as a key support function within our office for our hotel and restaurant (managing employee relations, advising managers, recruitment processes, and HR operations). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting our employees while ensuring compliance with Dutch labor regulations and organizational policies. Assist in recruiting, screening, and onboarding new employees, including coordinating interviews and preparing employment documentation Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all HR information and data Support the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and company programs Coordinate employee relations activities, including performance review processes and employee recognition programs Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, compensation, and workplace procedures in a timely and professional manner Assist in organizing training and development programs to support employee growth and skill development Help identify and resolve workplace conflicts through mediation and documentation Ensure compliance with Dutch employment law and organizational HR standards Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and organizational planning Collaborate with department managers to address staffing needs and performance management concerns Qualifications MBO/HBO/WO degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 2-4 years of professional experience in HR, recruitment, or employee relations Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and Dutch labor regulations Experience with sickness registration and reintegration processes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively Demonstrated organizational skills with strong attention to detail Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite Problem-solving ability and capacity to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion Fluency in English; Dutch fluency is an advantage Additional Information Work within a highly motivated and enthusiastic team at one of the best-operating hotels in Amsterdam Receive a competitive salary in line with the Collective Labour Agreement in the Netherlands (Scale VII-VIII).
