Human Resources - Summer Intern

The Human Resources Intern assists and supports the Human Resources Manager in day to day Human Resources functions, including: employee file maintenance, monthly reporting, recruitment and selection of candidates, special projects, and training and development of employees that is consistent with the Royal Canadian Yacht Club’s policies and procedures.
The Human Resources Intern plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources Manager with various functions essential to the smooth operation of the department. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including employee file maintenance, recruitment and selection, special projects, and involvement in the HRIS implementation process. The intern will contribute to maintaining a positive work environment consistent with the policies and procedures of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club.

• Respond to correspondence and phone inquiries on a daily basis, ensuring timely and professional communication.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, promptly updating any changes as necessary.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of Employee Appreciation Programs/Events to foster a positive work culture.
• Perform administrative tasks and support other HR-related activities as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
