INTRODUCTION
Join our collaborative and passionate HR team as a Human Resources Supervisor! This position will directly supervise a team of HR professionals who provide a broad spectrum of HR services to assigned areas within Division of Personnel Management’s Region 1 which consists of the Department of Administration (along with its attached boards, agencies and commissions), Department of Transportation, Public Service Commission, Department of Financial Institutions, Department of Safety and Professional Services, and the Higher Education Aids Board.
Our HR team is responsible for proactively partnering with assigned areas to provide strategic direction and expertise in job classification and analysis, classification surveys and studies, recruitment and staffing, assessment development and administration, compensation and pay administration, employment relations, performance management and workforce planning.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position supervises a team of HR staff that are responsible for recruitment/staffing, compensation administration, classification, employment relations, equity and inclusion, and organizational analysis. This position is part of the Region 1 HR management team and is responsible for administering programs, policies and systems and supervising subordinate staff. The functional areas include recruitment and staffing, classification, compensation, employment relations, AA/EEO, and performance management. The position is responsible for providing training and development, overseeing day-to-day activities and work assignments, and developing and updating HR policies and procedures. In addition, the position provides consultation to management on a wide range of difficult and complex and/or sensitive personnel matters.
