TITLE: Human Resources/Talent Retention Manager
LOCATION: Denver, CO
The Human Resources/Talent Retention Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of our HR operations in alignment with Mile High Behavioral Healthcare’s mission and vision. The HR manager is responsible for payroll, talent and retention, HR policies, legal compliance, employee relations, compensation and benefits. This role is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and systems that support a positive workplace culture and ensure compliance with employment regulations. The HR Manager will work closely with leadership and staff to manage employee relations with professionalism and care.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters + 3 years’ experience.
  • At least 5 plus years HR related experience
  • Professional HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications. Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws (COBRA, ADA, FMLA, FAMLI etc.)
  • Knowledge of nonprofit organizations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Possess strong organization skills and ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to edit and proofread
  • Possess a creative outlook with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • Has shown ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Competent at processing payroll
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud, Paychex, Empowerment, Linked In/various recruiting platforms and Peachtree/Sage
  • Knowledge of behavioral health organizations
  • Ability to undergo a fingerprint background check
  • This is an in person/in office position

    Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

HR

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Supervisory responsibilities.
  • Support a respectful and professional workplace culture through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and leadership on employee relations matters and approving coaching forms. Supporting disciplinary processes including Corrective Actions.
  • Regular meetings with managers and directors to support HR matters.
  • Process all terminations and resignations including drafting Severance Agreements.
  • Ensure smooth transitions while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Create, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of all ADA requirements.
  • Manage investigations and resolve workplace issues with discretion and fairness.
  • Streamline HR processes to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, including coordination with IT and department leads
  • Collaborate with departments to meet staffing needs and organizational growth.
  • Support leadership development and performance management initiatives.
  • Manage compensation structures.
  • Oversee all areas of benefits including retirement, medical, dental and supplemental insurance etc.
  • Participates in Personnel Committee
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
  • Ensure pay accuracy based on benchmarks and licensure and certification credentialing increases.
  • Participate and help support employee incentive program.
