JOB PURPOSE:
The York School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities and English Teacher to deliver and assess a high-quality educational program aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework and our school’s mission, vision, and values. This unique role will involve teaching within our Grade 9 Integrated Canadian Experience (ICE) program, an innovative interdisciplinary study of Canadian history, geography, civics, and literature. The incumbent will also teach Grade 10 English. This role requires an educator who can foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that inspires community, challenge, and curiosity. The ideal candidate will build meaningful relationships with students, supporting their academic and personal growth while contributing to a collaborative school culture. In addition to classroom teaching, they will engage in co-curricular activities, experiential learning, and the overall community life of the school.
