Overview MAR Graphics 523 S Meyer Ave, Valmeyer, IL 62295 Job Desciption: Routinely operates web finishing equipment based on job ticket instructions. Conducts routine maintenance and makes minor repairs to equipment as necessary. Responsibilities Essesntial Duties and Responsibilties: Reviews job folder for special instructions pertaining to finishing requirements. Primarily responsible for the set up and operation of web finishing equipment, but may be asked to operate various bindery equipment as work flow dictates. Reports production problems and/or errors in order to identify possible changes in procedures to prevent re-occurrence. Ensures equipment maintenance is performed and reports any down time that will affect production schedules and delivery commitments. Operates all equipment using proper safety procedures; uses proper lifting techniques; ensures Qualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.); 1 - 5 years of related training and experience and demonstrated competency in the operation of web finishing equipment. Language SkillsAbility to read, correspondence, memos, technical procedures and follow job folder instructions. Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from supervisors, customers and other employees of the Company. Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with multiple variables. Other Skills and AbilitiesAbility to prioritize daily work and projects. Multiple operational skills and individual flexibility are required to meet the needs of the business and customers. Physical DemandWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for the entire shift. The employee is also required to reach with hands and arms, to frequently stoop or kneel, crouch, and routinely lift up to 50 pounds. Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While the plant is climate controlled, there may be times during certain weather events when the working environment may be colder or hotter than normal.
