Job Title: Hurco WINMAX CNC Machinist
Location: Alsager
Salary: £29,120 - £37,440 per year (based on £14 - £18 per hour, plus overtime at 1.5x hourly rate)

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The annual salary will be based on experience and skill level, ranging from £29,120 to £37,440, with overtime paid at 1.5x the hourly rate. We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who have experience working with Hurco WINMAX systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing precision components, working to technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Proficient in operating CNC milling machines and/or lathes.
  • Strong understanding of tooling selection and machining techniques.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Good mathematical ability for measurements, calculations, and on-the-job adjustments.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on consistently producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and programme CNC milling machines to produce precision parts – Hurco WINMAX experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently, programming in WINMAX.
  • Accurately interpret technical drawings and CAD models to set up machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Use basic maths to calculate dimensions and tolerances for machining processes.
  • Assemble components according to engineering drawings, ensuring proper fit and function.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete finishing tasks such as grinding.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve production efficiency and maintain quality control.
  • Keep the workspace clean and organised in line with health and safety standards.
