Voyago is hiring a Part-Time Lead Hand for our Huron Shores Inter-Community Shuttle! Reporting to the Transit Operations Supervisor, the Lead Hand maintains their regular driving duties while providing support with day-to-day transit operations. This role includes managing vehicle switch-outs, assisting drivers with various operational needs, and handling administrative tasks. The position requires flexibility, a strong understanding of transit operations, and proficiency with computer systems for scheduling, reporting, and data entry. Your Role Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of vehicle interiors and exteriors Conduct regular inspections to identify cleanliness or maintenance concerns Properly use, maintain, and store all cleaning supplies and equipment Assist with basic maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and reporting any damage Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines Your Profile You can provide a clean Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Search You hold a valid G class licence (preference will be given to candidates with class F, B or C licences) You are able to work both independently and collaboratively You demonstrate strong leadership skills and can provide direction to coworkers as needed You have superior customer service and communication skills You ensure company policies and safety protocols are followed at all times You are comfortable with computers and Microsoft applications You perform daily circle checks on spare vehicles You are located in the Sarnia area You are comfortable using technology and navigating tablets and smart card readers You are available to work evening shifts and weekends Location This position is a set route shuttling passengers from Sarnia to Grand bend. Drivers will begin their route at Lambton College Administrative duties are performed at home or at the public library.
