KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • High Voltage Switching and Access
  • Open Cablers licence would be an advantage.
  • Post-trade experience in installation and maintenance of industrial electrical installations.
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry and fixed infrastructure.
  • Experience in maintaining and fault finding on the following large mining equipment automotive electrical, Machine monitoring systems and GPS systems.

Responsibilities

Located just outside Muswellbrook, Thiess’ Mount Pleasant Operation, provides an exciting opportunity to be a part of a Greenfields project and help shape it into a World Class Operation. You will be required work a 4/3 - 12 hour roster - dayshift only roster

As an Electrical LH at Mount Pleasant you will assist with performing the servicing, inspection, repair and maintenance of mine infrastructure facilities and large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems:-

  • Support the electrical supervisor in the day to day operations of the electrical department such as, plan execution, projects and parts scoping/ordering
  • Completing General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Services and Component Change outs to a high standard
  • Installation and maintenance of the machine guidance technology and fleet management. This is a great opportunity to advance your knowledge & skills in this area.
  • Installation of new infrastructure facilities as required
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems
  • Maintenance of digital radio infrastructure
  • Assist with the maintenance of wireless and hardwire networks
  • Conduct required inspection to maximise equipment utilisation
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
