We specialize in HVAC construction, service, and facility solutions, partnering with General Contractors and owners to deliver high-quality, cost-effective projects. Position Summary The HVAC Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial mechanical projects. This role works closely with General Contractors, vendors, and internal teams to develop bids, analyze project requirements, and support successful project handoff to operations. Key Responsibilities Estimating & Preconstruction Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents Perform quantity takeoffs for HVAC systems and associated work Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Identify scope gaps, overlaps, and potential risks Bid Management Prepare and submit complete bid packages on time Level quotes and analyze pricing for accuracy and competitiveness Communicate with General Contractors during the bidding process Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks as required Project Turnover Participate in handoff meetings with Project Managers and field teams Provide a clear scope definition and assumptions Support transition from estimating to project execution Relationship Management Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and GCs Represent PSG professionally in all external communications What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Career growth opportunities within a growing organization Team-oriented, professional work environment Exposure to a wide range of commercial projects Requirements Qualifications 5+ years of HVAC or mechanical estimating experience (commercial construction preferred) Strong understanding of HVAC systems, materials, and installation practices Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel Strong organizational and time management skills Skills & Competencies Detail-oriented with strong analytical ability Competitive mindset with focus on accuracy and margin protection Effective communication (internal and external) Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Problem-solving and critical thinking
