Job Title: HVAC Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering – Develop load calculations, equipment selections, duct/piping layouts, and detailed shop drawings using HAP, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Project Execution – Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV, district-cooling, and ventilation systems to ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local UAE codes.
• Site Coordination – Interface daily with civil, electrical, plumbing, and solar teams; attend technical and progress meetings; resolve clashes using BIM platforms.
• Quality & Safety – Prepare method statements, ITPs, and risk assessments; conduct QA/QC inspections and ensure adherence to HSE plans.
• Cost & Schedule Control – Prepare material take-offs, support procurement, track progress vs. baseline programmed, and flag variations in a timely manner.
• Documentation & Handover – Compile O&M manuals, test reports, and as-built drawings; train client teams during final handover.
• Continuous Improvement – Recommend energy-efficiency upgrades and value-engineering options aligned with UAE green-building regulations (Al Sa’fat, ESTIDAMA, LEED, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ HVAC engineering experience, with at least 2 years on UAE projects.
• Proven track record in design AND site execution of mid- to large-scale commercial HVAC systems.
• Solid knowledge of ASHRAE standards, UAE Fire & Life-Safety Code, Dubai Municipality & DEWA requirements.
• Proficiency in HAP/TRACE, Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, MS Project (or Primavera).
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.

Desirable Extras

• UAE Society of Engineers membership.
• LEED GA/AP, CEM, or similar sustainability certification.
• Experience integrating HVAC controls with solar PV and BMS platforms.
• Familiarity with district-cooling and TES systems.
