Description

The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems in line with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations. The role involves close coordination with other engineering disciplines, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in HVAC engineering (GCC experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, and MS Office.
  • Good understanding of building management systems (BMS) and energy efficiency principles.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with district cooling systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Design and review HVAC systems, including duct work, chilled water, DX systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
  • Prepare HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing and selection
  • Develop detailed shop drawings and as-built drawings for submission and approval.
  • Review and approve vendor/subcontractor shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
  • Coordinate with other MEP trades and civil/structural teams to avoid clashes.
  • Supervise installation activities on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) of HVAC systems.
  • Participate in commissioning activities and prepare all necessary documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC-related technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and local authority regulations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare technical reports.
