Tidyco is a multi-divisional engineering company based in Derby, since 1973, and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their team.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience of working within a similar role.
• Effective and professional communication skills - verbal and written.
• Detailed oriented and ability to multitask.
• Able to work individually or as part of a team.
• Able to read drawings.
• Previous experience in a rail industry would be advantageous.
• Fork Lift Licence and Full UK Driving Licence – desirable.

THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a HVAC Engineer / Overhaul Engineer to join us in our busy Rail Overhaul Department. We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and is able to follow company working practices to ensure that products leave the company right first time. There will times when you could be asked to help out in other parts of the company as and when required.
A lot of the work we do is rail related so experience of working in the industry would be advantageous.
This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am – 2.30pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Using basic engineering machinery.
• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical equipment.
• Tasks to help prep and get ready for work / projects such as stripping down parts, preparing parts, cleaning.
• Support the other engineers on working on HVAC units.
• Ensuring all health and safety procedures and working practices are followed and adhered to at all times.
• General housekeeping duties around the production area.
• Ensuring the workspace is kept clean and organised at all times.
• Helping out in other departments as required.
• Undertake relevant training to upskill.
• FGAS & Brazing would be desirable.
• Assisting with stripping of rail units when they arrive into the workshop.

AS A SMALL COMPANY THERE MAY BE TIMES WHEN YOU ARE ASKED TO CARRY OUT TASKS THAT ARE NOT ON YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION BUT WE WOULD EXPECT TO HAVE FOR FULL CO-OPERATION ON THE OCCASIONS WHEN THIS NEED ARISES.
