JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced HVAC Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will visit residential homes to assess HVAC needs and provide comprehensive estimates for system installations, upgrades, and maintenance. You will also evaluate and recommend program options available through Efficiency Nova Scotia to ensure clients are receiving the best energy-saving solutions. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as an HVAC Estimator, HVAC Technician, or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, energy-efficient technologies, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with Efficiency Nova Scotia programs, rebates, and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain HVAC options and program benefits to homeowners.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license is a must.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site evaluations at residential homes to assess HVAC system needs and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for HVAC system installations, replacements, and maintenance.
  • Evaluate potential program options through Efficiency Nova Scotia for eligible customers, providing them with information on energy-saving initiatives and available rebates.
  • Provide expert recommendations to homeowners about energy-efficient HVAC solutions and system upgrades.
  • Work with the project management team to ensure all estimates and projects meet client expectations and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing on equipment and materials.
  • Stay up to date with the latest HVAC technologies, energy-saving practices, and industry trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, project scopes, and client communications.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and Efficiency Nova Scotia program requirements.
