Description HVAC Apprentice Job Summary: Reporting to the team lead and Field Manager, the HVAC Apprentice will help HVAC field professionals in the installation variety of HVAC systems. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Aids with HVAC system installation Installs roof units for residential and business buildings’ heating and cooling systems Uses a range of hand tools and equipment for HVAC installation and repair Ensures that all tools, materials, and gear are in good operating order. Ensures that all HVAC systems adhere to industry standards and regulations Organizes the staff such that outstanding customer service is provided. Performs other related duties as assigned. ***GROWTH OPPORTUNITY *** Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Self-disciplined in completing assigned chores promptly Self-motivated and able to work with little guidance Ability to use power and hand tools. Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems. Ability to follow instructions. Excellent mechanical skills. Ability to work in confined spaces for extended periods of time Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical school training preferred Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Physically able to work on HVAC units. Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders. Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds at a time. Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
The HVAC Apprentice will assist HVAC field professionals in the installation of various HVAC systems. Responsibilities include ensuring tools and materials are in good order and that installations adhere to industry standards.
