Job Summary:
We are seeking first or second year sheet metal apprentice’s or those with HVAC install experience to add to our HVAC Install team. The roll is apprentice to our sheet metal journeymen working on commercial HVAC. We specialize in commercial kitchen ventilation systems and HVAC . This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Duties:
You will assist with:
- Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings, and commercial kitchens.
- Perform demo and repairs on existing HVAC systems.
- Work on ladders, scissor lifts and scaffold.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and install HVAC components
- Assist with crane hoists.- ‎Load and unload tools and materials.- Learn to MIG weld black iron ducting.
Requirements:
- Experience or schooling in Sheet metal or HVAC or related construction. First or Second year sheet metal apprentice is ideal.
- Demonstrated ability to use and read an imperial tape measure.- Math skills related to adding and subtracting fraction measurements.
- Good physical condition to lift and move materials, climb ladders etc.- ‎Experience with common power tools such as drill, hammer drill, sawsall.
- Welding experience or training is an asset.
-Valid driver license is an asset. - Willing to work hard with a get it done attitude.
