POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized HVAC Installation Manager to oversee and manage the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and/or commercial projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent technical knowledge, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HVAC installation with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in HVAC systems, installation procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or HVAC certification preferred.
  • Licensing: Current HVAC and EPA certifications; additional certifications are a plus.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with team members, clients, and other departments.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically, manage conflict, and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems.

Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Manage the entire HVAC installation process from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets. Ensure proper permits are pulled and all installations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal and company requirements. Work with comfort advisors on layout and material lists on complex jobs, ensuring deadlines and planned budgets.
  • Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and guide installation technicians, providing ongoing training and support. Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards. Facilitate weekly meetings with team members. Provide statistical and performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis to each team member, verbally and in writing. Write and administer performance reviews for skill improvement.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate with other departments, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project flow and minimize downtime.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality control assessments on installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues early and implement solutions to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Customer Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory and Equipment Management: Manage materials, tools, and equipment to ensure availability for scheduled jobs and reduce waste.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit project reports, including cost analysis, progress updates, and completion summaries.
