Description Vulcan Mechanical Services is a commercial/industrial HVAC company with 30+ years in business, serving Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery, and Chattanooga. We offer stable, long-term careers with consistent work and opportunities for advancement, and we promote from within. This is a commercial HVAC installation position, not service. You will be working on project-based installs of commercial and industrial systems across local job sites in Montgomery, AL. This role is suited for technicians who can install equipment to spec, work independently or with a crew, and consistently deliver clean, professional installs. Responsibilities · Install commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, VAV systems, and ductwork · Perform equipment startups and verify proper system operation · Work with a team to complete installs safely, efficiently, and on schedule · Follow manufacturer specifications, job plans, and company standards · Complete basic job documentation and communicate with team members and supervisors · Maintain a clean and professional job site · Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures Qualifications · Minimum 2+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience · Experience installing commercial equipment (large tonnage preferred) · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision · Strong work ethic and reliability · Valid driver’s license with clean driving record · Ability to pass drug and background screening Physical Requirements · Ability to lift 50+ lbs · Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and in mechanical rooms · Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods Comfortable working in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

The technician will install commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including RTUs, boilers, and chillers, while ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications. They are also responsible for performing equipment startups and maintaining a safe, professional job site.
