POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a full-time Refrigeration Mechanic with a G1 Gas License. The successful applicant will bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the installation of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems. We are looking for a motivated, reliable tradesperson with strong technical skills and a commitment to quality.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ontario 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic License.
• Valid G1 Gas Technician License (TSSA). G2 license holders actively upgrading will also be considered.
• ODP Certification.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with commercial/industrial HVAC/R installations.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physically able to perform demanding work, including tasks at heights.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and effective communication abilities.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and focused on delivering excellent results.
• Professional approach with pride in workmanship and customer service.

• Install a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment such as chillers, rooftop units, split systems, boilers, make-up air units, radiant heaters, and control systems.
• Read and apply information from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Run refrigerant piping, gas lines, wiring, and connect control components.
• Perform brazing, soldering, and pressure testing to meet safety standards.
• Start up and commission equipment to verify performance and compliance.
• Collaborate effectively with apprentices, electricians, and site supervisors.
• Follow all workplace safety practices and maintain an orderly job site.
• Accurately complete required installation and commissioning reports.
