Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and self-sufficient Installation Technician with more than a year of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in installing ductwork, piping, vent systems, and residential HVAC equipment, with a strong focus on maintaining high-quality service standards. As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that involve working independently and supervising apprentices. Key Responsibilities: Ductwork & Vent Installation: Independently install ductwork, piping, flex systems, and vent systems for furnaces, water heaters, bath vents, kitchen hoods, downdraft appliances, and more. Start/Test Tasks: Handle all start and test duties with no supervision, including setting up drain lines, thermostats, refrigerant piping, TXV's, zoning systems, variable capacity systems, and Bluetooth systems. Rough-In Installations: Understand and execute RNC rough-in installations, including both duct-side and start/test requirements. Residential Equipment Setup: Install all types of residential equipment, including generators. Work Environment: Perform tasks in a variety of conditions, including rooftops, crawlspaces, attics, basements, concrete structures, and extreme weather. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with apprentices, ensuring they follow instructions and meet GSM Standards. Relay information from Plan of Attack Meetings and oversee their work. Inspection and Payment: Responsible for setting up inspections and collecting payments from clients. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the installation of HVAC systems or related fields. Certifications: Must have EPA certification Skills: Ability to install ductwork, pipe, flex systems, and vent systems with little to no supervision. Familiarity with different types of HVAC equipment, operation, and startup processes. Tools: Must have personal tools required for the position. (Please refer to the provided tool list). Driving License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Physical Ability: Comfortable working in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in challenging environments. Availability: Willing to work on-call Saturdays once a month (scheduled in advance). Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and understand English at a high school level. Leadership & Accountability: Apprentice Oversight: Take responsibility for the work completed by apprentices, ensuring it aligns with company standards. Time Management: Responsible for managing your own time and that of the apprentice. Quality Control: Ensure all installations meet industry standards and company guidelines.
