FT HVAC Instructor   About The Job  Fortis College in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced, highly motivated HVAC Technician to join its faculty.  If you possess a desire to help others succeed, this is an opportunity for you to positively impact the lives and careers of our students and graduates.    Fortis provides educational programs that deliver real-life career skills in high-demand occupations that lead to employment upon graduation and a lifetime of professional growth.    Job Description  We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC/R Program.  This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director.  The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses.  The typical teaching load is three courses each term, with two or three preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.      Requirements  * Completion of an accredited HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or diploma; an associate degree is preferred * Certifications: * HVAC * EPA Universal * HVAC Journeyman not required but desired * NATE certification is not required but desired * At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  * Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven  * Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred but not required 
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to teach HVAC/R courses to students, typically handling three courses per term. Additionally, the instructor provides academic advising and assists the Program Director with department training and meetings.
