HVAC Instructor - FT   About The Job  Fortis Institute in Towson MD is seeking an experienced, highly motivated HVAC/R Tech to join its faculty.  If you possess a desire to help others succeed, this is an opportunity for you to positively impact the lives and careers of our students and graduates.    Fortis provides educational programs that deliver real-world career skills in high-demand occupations, leading to employment upon graduation and a lifetime of professional growth.    Job Description  We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Program.  This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director.  The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses.   Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.      Requirements  * Completion of an accredited HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required * Certification: * HVAC Certificate or License * EPA Universal * NATE Certification is not required, but desired * Journeyman HVAC is not required, but is desired  * At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician/Mechanic * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  * Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven  * Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred but not required   
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to teach HVAC/R courses to students. Additional duties include providing academic advising and assisting the Program Director with department training and meetings.
