Part time HVAC Instructor   About The Job  Fortis College in Cookeville, TN is seeking an experienced, highly motivated HVAC/R Technician to join its faculty.  If you possess a desire to help others succeed, this is an opportunity for you to positively impact the lives and careers of our students and graduates.    Fortis provides educational programs that deliver real-life career skills in high-demand occupations, leading to employment upon graduation and a lifetime of professional growth.    Job Description  We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Program.  This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education.  The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses.  The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.      Requirements  * Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required * Certifications: * HVAC * EPA Universal * HVAC Journeyman is not required, but desired * NATE Certification is not required, but desired * At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  * Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven  * Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred 
Responsibilities
The instructor is responsible for teaching HVAC/R courses and providing academic advising to students. Additionally, they must participate in department training, meetings, and graduation ceremonies.
