Make a Difference The maintenance employee plays a crucial role in supporting the hospital’s mission by maintaining an environment of care that is safe, functional, and reliable for patients, visitors, and staff. This position is responsible for ensuring that all essential equipment and facility systems are continuously operated and maintained to guarantee operational readiness at all times. The maintenance employee operates, troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on a wide variety of hospital equipment and systems. Additionally, this role involves performing construction tasks to enhance and improve hospital furnishings, equipment, and systems, contributing to a seamless and efficient healthcare environment. Exceptional Skills and Qualifications The ideal candidate demonstrates commitment to providing or contributing to exceptional patient and family experiences through sound decision making, positive behavior, professional attitude, and compassionate action grounded in empathy. The candidate also demonstrates commitment to building strong relationships by acting as a dedicated team player, maintaining an open and welcoming demeanor, utilizing relationship competencies, and ensuring exceptional experiences for both customers and team members. · High school diploma or GED required; must also complete a maintenance-related technical, trade, or certification program. · At least 5 years of facility maintenance, industrial, commercial, institutional, or construction experience preferred; hospital maintenance experience is a plus. · Must hold one certification or license in fields but not limited; Boiler Operator, Electrician, Plumber, Pipe Fitter, HVAC Technician, Carpenter, Fire Alarm Technician, Journeyman Painter, or have a college degree in a technical/engineering field. · Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
